Trail Runner Free 2

Trail Runner Free 2 is a lightweight and flexible headlamp for anyone who loves to run. Its features and light pattern are optimized for running and thanks to Free Technology you don't have to worry about annoying cables. The basic version of the Trail Runner Free 2 has the Hybrid battery case and is used with 3 AAA batteries (not included), perfect for those who don't run daily, but still value long burn time.

On all Trail Runner Free headlamps, the power cable is integrated into the headband. We call this Free Technology – a comfortable headlamp experience without annoying cables.

Hybrid Battery Case included
The hybrid battery case can be used with either Silva's rechargeable hybrid battery or AAA batteries. The case features grip-friendly surfaces and an integrated red safety light – contributing to extra visibility and safety.

Pleasant and powerful light
With the 2nd generation of the Trail Runner Free, cooling has been optimized with a more powerful heatsink, allowing the lamp to deliver up to 550 lumens (depending on battery type) while maintaining its agility. Our ultrarunners have been an important part of the development work and running has been the focus in the development of every small detail of the lamps. All models in the Trail Runner Free series are equipped with Silva Intelligent Light. This means that the headlamp has dual light sources so that you get both strong lighting in the distance, as well as soft and comfortable lighting where you put your feet down. This results in a more extensive light image and less head movement when you run so that you can focus on your run. With Silva Intelligent Light, you also reduce the risk of fatigue and tension headaches due to a shaky light image.

Comfort down to the smallest detail
Although the Trail Runner Free series is best known for its innovation with Free Technology, we haven’t forgotten the most basic things – weight and ergonomic fit. Every component of the headlamp has been optimized, and the lamp unit itself, including the headband, weighs only 61 grams. The Trail Runner Free 2 is light and well-balanced, with smooth adjustments and a flat, soft extension cable that won’t tangle. The headband is soft but stays firmly in place thanks to a thin silicone string on the inside of the headband. The battery can be easily mounted on the headband or kept warm in your pocket to maximize battery life using the included extension cable.

The Trail Runner Free 2 is a good choice if you run more sporadically and are content to replace the batteries when they run out. The lamp is powered by 3 standard AAA batteries, but thanks to the Hybrid Battery Case, you can upgrade to the rechargeable Hybrid Battery 1.25 Ah at a later date if you change your mind.
